# Dan Mirolli > Build. Design. Write. Sell. Lead. Train. Fight. Pray. Eight years selling software. I joined Signpost in 2015 as a business development rep and left in 2019 as its senior sales manager, six promotions in four years, selling to plumbers, roofers, and HVAC techs who hate software and buy it anyway when it works. Then enterprise accounts at Formstack, then Palantir, where the budgets were a hundred times bigger and the question was the same. Does the thing do the job? In 2023 I started building. [ReviewWheel](https://reviewwheel.com) began as a wider platform for contractors ([YAI](https://sayyai.com)). The most effective part was everything to do with getting contractors more customers from Google; SEO, reviews, website, etc. So I built the self-serve software platform that does that better than anyone. [Workbench](https://github.com/ddmirolli/model-topography) is an open source benchmark that scores every AI model on three axes, intelligence, efficiency, and agency, across entry level, middle management, and senior executive work. [Model Topography](https://modeltopography.com) draws the map: every model as one dot in 3D space. Together they answer one question. Which model do I hand this to? When not working I enjoy lifting heavy sandbags, training with firearms, and thinking, writing, and praying about the future of my family, nation, and Roman Catholic faith. ## Links - [GitHub](https://github.com/ddmirolli) - [LinkedIn](https://linkedin.com/in/ddmirolli) - [YouTube](https://youtube.com/@ddmirolli) - [Instagram](https://instagram.com/ddmirolli) - [X](https://x.com/ddmirolli) - [Medium](https://medium.com/@ddmirolli) ## Projects - [ReviewWheel](https://reviewwheel.com): Gets contractors more customers from Google. - [Model Topography](https://modeltopography.com): Visually map which model to use and when in a 3D environment, callable as a skill for AI agents. - [Workbench](https://github.com/ddmirolli/model-topography): An open source AI benchmark measuring AI models on intelligence, efficiency, and agency when applied to entry level, middle management, and senior executive work. ## Writing - [Evolve what exists. A camel stays a camel.](https://ddmirolli.com/writing/a-camel-stays-a-camel/): The blank canvas is a trap. Add to the thing or remove from it, and keep its identity. (2026-09-23) - [Make every detail perfect and limit the number of details](https://ddmirolli.com/writing/limit-the-number-of-details/): Jack Dorsey's line is two instructions, not one. Most people only hear the first half. (2026-09-12) - [Seals over sweeps](https://ddmirolli.com/writing/seals-over-sweeps/): When a bug is a defect in a convention, add an invariant and delete the guards. Do not add another guard.
